NanoAvionics GaAs (Triple Junction GaInP / GaInAs / Ge epitaxial construction) solar arrays are made from high performance triple junction space grade solar cells that enable missions with high power requirements. These solar cells reach efficiencies up to 29.5% and incorporate a bypass diode to protect the solar cell strings connected in series from the shadowing effect. Solar cells are assembled using NASA-certified outgassing adhesives.
