The NanoAvionics EPS Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) power adjustment and distribution unit is designed to meet a variety of customer requirements with high MPPT and output converter efficiencies of up to 96%. EPS has additional hardware as it features four MPPT converters with eight solar panel input channels with a wide range of input voltages (2.6-18 V) for reliable and flexible power. Compatible with solar panels of various sizes and configurations, without wear or software configuration. Each MPPT converter is integrated with the maximum power point tracking function to realize efficient energy harvesting. Four output converters, two of which are voltage configurable (3-18 V) and 10 configurable output channels, allow multiple subsystems to be connected to the EPS and configured with integrated hardware and software. The current ensures reliable power distribution. NanoAvionics EPS comes with a ready-to-use lithium-ion battery with an integrated battery management system (BMS) that helps extend mission life and ensure proper operating conditions. EPS can also be configured with a battery capacity of up to 161Wh for systems that consume a lot of power with the support of an external battery pack. By using an external battery pack, EPS can provide up to 175W of output power. The onboard monitoring and logging feature makes it easy for users to monitor EPS operations on all input and output circuits. In the event of an unexpected malfunction, the EPS watchdog system ensures that the satellite and EPS are restarted and returned to a reliable operating state. Additional support hardware, such as the external battery charger that comes with EPS, allows users to set up their system quickly and easily and get started quickly. The implemented USB port supports EPS configuration for user-friendly operation. A distributed communication interface (CAN) with the CSP protocol enables Plug and Play EPS integration into the main network.
