The Coarse Sun Sensor (CSS) Pyramid is a two-axis sensor that contains four detectors and is used in applications such as solar array pointing, sun acquisition, and fail-safe recovery. Since the 1960s, over 1,000 Adcole analog solar sensors have been deployed on hundreds of spacecraft. Analog solar sensors are less accurate than Adcole's digital sun sensors, but they offer a much wider field of view. Adcole Space allows you to design baffles for almost all unique field of view (FOV) requirements for your mission.
